Join me in a journey to invest, innovate, and accelerate sustainable and inclusive economic growth across the African continent. Let us celebrate the rich tapestry that is Africa: its storied past, dynamic present, and promising future.
I’m an entrepreneur, author, and innovator devoted to improving the everyday lives of people across Africa. I’m passionate about amplifying African voices and influence on the global stage.
After 30 years leading successful ventures on the continent—both as an entrepreneur and on behalf of companies like Apple and Google—I have an intimate understanding and appreciation for the African user and their global potential. That’s why I am partnering with others, both within and outside Africa, to identify, invest in, and promote the countless emerging opportunities, across multiple sectors.
My ultimate goal is to move beyond negative, dated stereotypes and business models, engaging with individuals, businesses, and organizations that wish to be part of Africa’s continued growth.
On this site, I’ll share my insights on technology, innovation, and media and their intersection with the African zeitgeist. You’ll also find my writings (fiction and non-fiction), exciting news, podcasts, and more.
Thanks for joining me on this journey! You can stay up to date by subscribing here.

Through Unite in Africa, I partner with industry leaders around the globe to identify, invest in, and promote business opportunities in Africa’s media, fintech, and AI sectors, all while empowering African stakeholders.
Out of Omo is a digital platform dedicated to fostering human connections through immersive storytelling. Our mission is to amplify African and diasporic voices and share perspectives that have historically been overlooked and undervalued.
Out of Omo symbolizes the idea that though we share a common beginning—perhaps even the Omo Valley in Ethiopia—our individual journeys have shaped our experiences and perspectives. Exchanging these stories expands all of our horizons.
